WHY PLAY UKULELE?The word ‘ukulele’ is an Hawaiian word, uku means flea, lele means jumping, so then, you have in your hands a jumping flea! The ukulele community is quite unique in that groups of players get together for regular jam sessions all over the world! Now, all you need to do is learn to play your instrument and ‘spread a little sunshine’.

OUR LATEST ADVENTURE
Ukulele Jam 2021
Since the start of the Pandemic in 2020, Ukulele Groups, the world over, have been unable to meet & practice properly but it did not stop us! We used Zoom & other similar means. Kool Hand Ukes met as often as the rules allowed near Aberafan Promenade, Port Talbot. Our first get together with other groups finally happened on Saturday 13th September 2021 at Porthcawl Promenade, The Big Wales (End Of Summer) Uke Jam! This was organised by the founder & group leader of Maesteg Ukulele Club, Shaun Keddy. We all had a fab time & the weather was perfect!
